Three men charged with child molestation are now out on bond.

All three men were served with Gentry County warrants charging second-degree child molestation after allegedly having sexual intercourse with the same juvenile female.

Tim Wood, 20, of King City, Mo., was already in custody for a previous unrelated sexual molestation charge when officers served him with the warrant for the second case, said King City Police Chief John Epperson.

St. Joseph Police Department officers arrested Paul Phipps, 18, of King City, on Aug. 8. He was residing with a relative in St. Joseph.

Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers arrested Clay Hornback, 20, of Stanberry, Mo., in Bethany, Mo., on Aug. 12.

The arrests stem from a joint investigation by the King City Police and the Gentry County Sheriff’s departments.

All men posted a $5,000 bond and now await trial. Mr. Wood and Mr. Phipps are both due in court Wednesday at 9 a.m., while Mr. Hornback is due Sept. 3 at 9 a.m.

Another King City man charged with statutory rape and sodomy in an unrelated case also awaits trial.

Donald E. Davis, 28, King City, was arrested on Aug. 5, but has since posted a $30,000 bond and awaits a Sept. 4 trial.
