Woman airlifted following accident
by St. Joseph News-Press
Wednesday, December 10, 2008

MAYSVILLE, Mo. —— An icy road Tuesday morning contributed to a one-vehicle accident on Missouri Highway 6, about two miles west of Maysville.

A helicopter flew Mary Breese, 61, to Heartland Regional Medical Center with injuries the Missouri State Highway Patrol described as moderate. Ms. Breese was still being treated Tuesday morning at Heartland.

Highway Patrol records stated that Ms. Breese drove a 2007 Chrysler west on Missouri Highway 6 at about 7 a.m. Tuesday when the car traveled over a patch of ice. Ms. Breese lost control of the car, which traveled off the right side and overturned on its side. Ms. Breese was wearing a seat belt. No summons was issued.
