The registration rolls for Missouri's primary next month remain open until next week.
Pat Conway, Buchanan County clerk, alerts new residents, or those who have not registered, that July 9 is the last day to sign up for eligibility to vote in the Aug. 5 primary.
Registration forms are available in the County Clerk's office in the Buchanan County Courthouse.
To reduce the time it takes at polling places on Election Day, the clerk urged any voter who has moved from one county residence to another to update their information with the office. Their new address might land them in a different voting location.
All voters need a form of identification to vote. Mr. Conway said a voter ID card would be issued to new registrants and those with updated information.
