MARYVILLE, Mo. — A Maryville, Mo., man was pronounced dead at the scene of a one-vehicle wreck early Friday at Mozingo Lake.

The Maryville Department of Public Safety identified the victim as 51-year-old Richard L. Osthoff. A cause has not been determined, but it appears Mr. Osthoff died of natural causes, officials said.

Police were assisted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the Nodaway County Sheriff’s Department and other emergency personnel.

Upon arrival shortly before 2:30 a.m., responders discovered that Mr. Osthoff’s vehicle was partially submerged in the lake.
