A four-hour siege ended Friday afternoon with the arrest of a man who barricaded himself in his Buchanan County home north of Faucett, Missouri just off H Highway.
The incident started with a domestic violence call on the midnight shift, said Buchanan County Sheriff Mike Strong.
34 year old Sean Edwards reportadly barracaded himself in the mobile earlier this morning. There were reports he possibly 6 to 7 weapons in the home as well.
The Special Response Team, which included officers from the St. Joseph Police Department and the Buchanan County Sheriff's Department, were called out and handled the tactical situation at the scene. The officers surrounded the house and even called in the SJPD's armoured vehicle. It was later called off after the incident ended peacefully with Edwards' surrender.
Edwards was wanted on a felony warrant for domestic assault and officers took the him into custody at about 1:15 pm Friday as he walked to his vehicle. Edwards remains in the Buchanan County Law Enforcement Center with no bond set.
