AMAZONIA, Mo. — A Savannah resident died Tuesday in a motorcycle accident on Missouri Route CC about five miles north of Amazonia.

An Andrew County paramedic pronounced Ryan M. Bomar, 24, dead at the scene at 12:20 a.m. Wednesday, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

The accident occurred as Mr. Bomar was driving a 2008 Suzuki motorcycle north on Route CC. The motorcycle traveled off the road and down an embankment before striking a fence. The collision ejected Mr. Bomar into a nearby field at about 11 p.m. Tuesday, the Highway Patrol said.

The Andrew County Sheriff’s Department received a 911 call about the accident at 12:13 a.m. Wednesday. This is the 26 vehicle fatality in the Troop H region of Northwest Missouri this year.
