Thursday, May 29, 2008

An 83-year-old man died in a fire early Thursday morning at a home near Troy, Kan.

Authorities said the man, whose name has not been officially released, was one of two residents living at the home, located in a rural area east of Troy. The man’s 14-year-old grandson also lived in the home and was able to escape.

The Kansas State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
