Strike Force nabs 11 in bust

The Buchanan County Drug Strike Force scooped up 11 individuals as it concluded a recent drug investigation.

The individuals were allegedly involved in illegal drug deliveries of substances that included methamphetamine, crack cocaine, marijuana and illegally diverted prescription medication.

Two of the suspects were already in custody on other charges, said Mike Donaldson, Strike Force commander.

Bond amounts on the suspects ranged between $50,000 and $80,000. Unless otherwise stated, the individuals are from St. Joseph.

The following suspects will appear for arraignment before Associate Circuit Court Judge Ronald Taylor at 8:15 a.m. Friday on a felony charge of delivery a controlled substance:

Tommy L. Burley, 18, alleged delivery of marijuana. Mr. Burley pleaded guilty earlier this year to felony of possession of marijuana and Circuit Court Judge Dan Kellogg sentenced him to 15 days in jail.

Tyson M. Cox, 27, alleged delivery of methamphetamine. Mr. Cox is from Overland Park, Kan.

Mikel W. Farnsworth, 32, alleged delivery of marijuana.

Darrin R. Oliver, 44, alleged delivery of marijuana.

Shaun Paxton, 40, alleged delivery of Lortab.

Corey Wilson, 21, alleged delivery of methamphetamine. Authorities have no known residence for the suspect.

Judge Taylor arraigned Dennis G. Meers, 29, Friday and ordered the defendant to return to court at 10 a.m. Oct. 29 for a preliminary hearing for alleged delivery of methamphetamine.

The following suspects will appear for arraignment before Associate Circuit Court Judge Keith Marquart at 8:30 a.m. Friday on a charge of delivery a controlled substance.

Dean M. Moses, 20, alleged delivery of marijuana.

Travis W. Trauernicht, 25, alleged delivery of methamphetamine. Authorities have no known residence for the suspect.

Two individuals were returned to prison for alleged drug violations allegedly involving delivery of crack cocaine.

These two individuals, John Henry Davis, 35, and Felicia Mclean, 22, violated their terms of release, said Cameron Howard, a Strike Force investigator.
