KANSAS CITY - An Amity, Mo., man remained hospitalized in serious condition Thursday.
Scott Round, 45, is at the University of Kansas Hospital. Bob Hallinan, a hospital spokesman. said Mr. Round's vital signs were unstable.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported Wednesday that Mr. Round was in a one-vehicle accident a mile north of Stewartsville on Missouri Route N. Mr. Round's vehicle went off the road, hit a ditch, became airborne and caught fire after hitting the ground. A medical helicopter unit transported Mr. Round to the hospital.
