Area wind brings Biden to Missouri

Vice President Joe Biden will be in Jefferson City on Thursday to talk about Wind Capital Group's latest project, a 150-megawatt wind farm in DeKalb County.

Wind Capital, based in St. Louis, says it will be the largest wind energy development in the state.

The company already operates wind farms in Gentry, Atchison and Nodaway counties and earlier this year announced plans for a 150-turbine wind farm near Mound City in Holt and Atchison counties.

Mr. Biden is coming to Jefferson City in part to tout the benefits of federal stimulus money in developing wind capital's latest venture.
