Flooding from the Platte River at the intersection of state routes FF and H didn't stop people from getting through as they cut around the intersection Tuesday afternoon.

Rainfall may have ceased for the moment, but flood concerns continue as the region's swollen streams rise.

Meanwhile, the Missouri Department of Transportation reported the closing of a number of county routes because of high water. Roads were no longer closed in Northeast Kansas.

The National Weather Service office in Pleasant Hill on Tuesday extended flood warnings for the 102 River at Rosendale; Grand River near Pattonsburg, Gallatin and Chillicothe; and Platte River near Agency, Platte City and at Sharp's Station in Platte County.
