ATCHISON, Kan. — A 40-year-old Troy, Kan., man was hospitalized following a one-vehicle accident early Tuesday.

Scotty L. Gibson was in good condition Wednesday, said Marcy George, a Heartland Regional Medical Center spokeswoman.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol report, the accident occurred as Mr. Gibson drove a 1994 Jeep north on Kansas Highway 7 about eight miles north of Atchison in Doniphan County, Kan. The Jeep left the road and ran into a ditch, where it overturned sometime between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. Tuesday. An ambulance transported Mr. Gibson to Heartland for emergency medical treatment.
