by St. Joseph News-Press
Wednesday, January 21, 2009

A two-car collision on Missouri Highway 111 killed a Forest City, Mo., woman on Tuesday, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

The Holt County coroner pronounced Ramona Ridler, 49, dead at the scene about 2 p.m.

The Highway Patrol said Ms. Ridler was driving in Forest City when her car crossed into oncoming traffic. The vehicle hit a 1989 Peterbilt, driven by Joshua Spencer, 32, of Bolckow, Mo. Ms. Ridler was not wearing a safety belt and was ejected from the car.

Mr. Spencer was taken by Atchison-Holt ambulance to Heartland Regional Medical Center, where a nursing supervisor said he was treated and released.

This is the third death of the month in the Highway Patrol’s Troop H, which covers Northwest Missouri.
