Hi, my name is Steve Booher. I work as the Multimedia News Editor for the St. Joseph News-Press, St. Joe NOW and our Web site, stjoenews.net.
I also ride a 2007 Honda VTX 1300R. Check out the pretty metallic blue bike in the picture.
This is a blog about motorcycles, primarily cruisers, but all kinds really. I don’t care if you ride a Harley, Honda, Star, Triumph, Kawasaki or Suzuki. You can ride a sport bike, a Goldwing or a scooter and that’s fine with me. Most people ride a bike they are comfortable with and one they can afford.
No matter what form of two-wheeled transportation you have, it’s all about heading out on the highway, seeing the country and having adventures.
Oh, and there may be a few cold beverages involved.
You might remember another biker blog, “Two Wheels Only”, that I co-wrote with photographer Eric Keith, Design Editor Paul Branson and Graphic Artist George Stanton. Alas, we all got really busy and the blog just sort of died. “Bikes and Booher” is an attempt to revive it.
Anyway, I hope you read this and take some enjoyment from it. If you read something you like (or don’t like), give me some feedback using the handy-dandy little form below or shoot me an e-mail at steveb@npgco.com.
In coming weeks, I hope to add a calendar of bike events. If you have an event you wanted included, just e-mail me. I’ll also blog about everything motorcycle. We’ll take a few trips, bolt on a few accessories and change oil regularly.
To start things off, I’ll be riding to Taos, N.M., next week then slicing through parts of Colorado. I’ll be heading out with my wife, Chris, and a group of friends that I have ridden with for a few years. We have a few things planned, but we once we’re on the road, we play it by ear. I’ll pack my trusty laptop and digital camera and plan post daily entries along the way. Check back to see how we’re doing.
Glad to see you are back to bikes man.
Will keep an eye out.
John
