Garden tour in Hiawatha

The Hiawatha Community Hospital Auxiliary will be sponsoring a garden tour from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 27. Visitors will be able to visit eight private gardens in or near Hiawatha, Kan. At the Schmitt garden, Olga Gronniger will share her knowledge of herb gardens along with samples of foods made with fresh herbs. Gift displays from the Hiawatha Hospital Gift Shop will be at the Riner Garden. Proceeds from the tour will be used for projects sponsored by the auxiliary to benefit the Hiawatha Community Hospital. Advance tickets are available at the hospital gift shop or any Hiawatha bank. On the day of tour, purchase tickets at the The Riner Garden, 400 Woodbury Lane or Wolf River Nursery, 3½ miles south of Hiawatha on US Highway 73, then 1/4 mile west on 195th St.
