Road work roundup, June 29, 2009

Weather permitting, the Missouri Department of Transportation maintenance crews and contractors will be working on roads throughout Northwest Missouri this week. Drivers should use caution in work zones and may expect some delays, depending on the type of work being completed. Closings may require using alternate routes.

St. Joseph - Area maintenance crews will continue working in the eastbound lanes of U.S. Highway 36 in various locations between Riverside Road and the Platte River Bridge. Pavement repairs will be made in this area. The road will be narrowed to one lane around the work zone for two more weeks.

Faucett - Missouri Highway 116 will be closed starting at 7 a.m. today for three days of culvert replacements between Missouri Route V and Missouri Route CC. The road will reopen each day at 3 p.m. and close the next morning. Highway 116 will be closed two miles east of Missouri Route M from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday for a culvert replacement.

Mound City - Roadwork has been scheduled to begin today on Interstate 29 in Holt County. Area maintenance crews will begin making two days of pavement repairs in the southbound driving lane at the 68-mile marker.

Cameron - Two days of pavement repairs will begin today in the eastbound lanes of U.S. Highway 36 inside the Cameron city limits. The road will be narrowed to one lane.

Cameron - Area crews will be making pavement repairs Wednesday on Interstate Business Loop 35 at the south edge of Cameron. The road will be reduced to one lane traffic with temporary signals installed at the site.

Winston - Area maintenance crews will be making two days of pavement repairs on U.S. Highway 69, one half mile south of the Winston I-35 exit. The road will be narrowed to one lane and temporary traffic signals will direct motorists.
