State Rep. Ed Wildberger has been named to serve as recorder of deeds for Buchanan County, effective Sunday.
Gov. Jay Nixon made the announcement Monday.
Mr. Wildberger, a Democrat who represents the 27th District in St. Joseph, replaces former Buchanan County Recorder of Deeds Karen Higginbotham. She retired from that position effective Saturday.
The governor has called a special election on Feb. 2, to fill the vacant House seat for District 27.
Current County Clerk Pat Conway is running for the vacant state representative seat.
Isn't that rather convenient Mr. Wildberger has term limited out, the Gov steps in gives a loyal cronie a new job. Pat Conway is sure to be elected to that post and then becomes the incumbent for the following years election. AHHHHHH The life of a career politician isn't it grand when your party is in power. At least from what I have seen of Mr. Wildberger and Mr. Conway both seem to be genuinely honest people.
and his experience is???????
He has absolutely no knowledge of the functions of the office and should be voted from office. Nixon shows himself to merely be a political hack.
Most don't have experience when elected. But you have a Circuit Clerk that worked in one of the court rooms and ran on her so called experience and she really doesn't know anything. Just ask some of her employees. Everytime someone asks her a question she can't answer it.
gee, what do they have in common? The Firefighter's Union.
Mr.Wildberger is good for that postion. He served the people of buchanan county in the state house. You couldn't find a better man for the job.
