InterServ to celebrate 100 years Saturday
by St. Joseph News-Press
Tuesday, November 3, 2009

InterServ is celebrating 100 years of service to St. Joseph and the surrounding area on Saturday. The event will be from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Wesley Center, located at 200 Cherokee. The program, including state and local proclamations, will begin at 1:30 p.m. and the public is invited to attend.

Interfaith Community Services was established in 1909 to assure that immigrants coming to work in the stockyards were able to feed their children, care for themselves and their families, learn English and assimilate into the community. The not-for-profit organization has grown over the years and now operates 23 programs designed to benefit all ages. For more information contact the InterServ Foundation at 238-4511.
