Chuck Owen & The Jazz Surge - “The Comet’s Tail: Playing The Compositions of Michael Brecker.” (MAMA Records)

(Press Release) “The Comet’s Tail” pays homage to the compositions of the late, great legendary saxophonost Michale Brecker. The album features Chuck Owen and the dynamic 17-piece Jazz Surge alongside some of BNrecker’s longtime collaborators including Joe Lovano, Mike Stern and brother Randy Brecker.

The eight pieces selected on the album span some 25 years in the Michael Brecker library and are culled form seven different recordings.
