Spine & Sport seeks gently used shoes
Spine & Sport Physical Therapy, 1213 N. Belt Highway, has partnered with Soles4Souls Inc. to recycle gently worn shoes for people in need. Every 17 seconds, Soles4Souls gives away another pair of shoes to someone in need.
Through the month of October, Soles4Souls and Spine & Sport will be collecting gently worn footwear and/or donations to ship the shoes to people in need, whether they are victims of a natural disaster or subject to living in extreme poverty.
A special open house at Spine & Sport will take place on Oct. 29 to promote the shoe drive. For more information, call 279-7778. In addition, people and companies interested in donating can go online to www.giveshoes.org.
