I don't think Mr. Hamby feels charity is a bad thing, in fact he mentions one he participates in that benefits third world countries. His point is he wishes there were some way to better police where the foreign aid dollars are actually going, which I agree with.

I get an entirely different read on this. What I heard over a radio station, can't tell you what one, I was driving across Iowa listening to AM, was that he asked what is the timetable for withdrawal with the surge and what is it without? He asked them for an exit strategy either way and nobody had an answer. I come from a family deep in military service, Both grandfathers, my dad, one brother, several cousins (they wouldn't take me, bad eyes). My brother and cousins all agreed after coming home from the jungle that no war was worth fighting on foreign soil. I don't know that I agree completely with that statement but in my opinion it certainly merits some thought.

Currently Mrs. Obama has 22 staff members working either directly or indirectly for her.
Laura Bush had 26
Betty Ford had 28
Ladybird Johnson had 30
Jackie Kennedy had about 40.
canada free press has part of it right, the 22.

I didn't say you were for the war, but I bet Sam thinks we need more troops. I think we need to give them an objective to achieve, the manpower and equipment to achieve it or bring them home.
But that's just my opinion.
If Sam thinks our health care package as it now stands is so great why doesn't he opt out of congressional health care and get in the private sector with the rest of us. It's great as long as you don't ever have anything serious go wrong with you or any of your family members.
One of my friends has a 17 year old child that has come down with MS. He now pays 600.00 per month for family health care, him, his wife and two kids. He has already been informed his rates will at least double in the near future and will continue to increase exponentially at every renewal from here on out.
Welcome to the American health care insurance system.

But we can afford a War? How about he donates a year of his benefit package to help someone denied for a preexisting condition get a little health care? Has the republican party really become that heartless?

Not hard to figure that one, LOD.
90 percent on food stamps equals a 90 percent vote for the likes of Obama.
What is wrong with this WW person? These are children, for god sakes don't punish them for the mistakes of their parents. From time to time ANYONE could need a hand. While I agree there are abusers, they certainly are not the children.
On Study: Half of U.S. kids will get food stamps
