DMS2007,
Actually, Since I don't believe being a member of law enforcement automatically makes you immune from beign jailed, I believe there is one very important way to stay out of jail and that is to live a good, clean, honest and decent life and not get involved in situations where this is a possibility.
Many people, most I think, live this type of life. A lot of people beleve that on any given day any person could be wrongly accused. Well, that is wrong in itself. If you live a good life, have basic common sense and surround yourself with a good family and always stay in the company of good people then you'll be just fine. I guarantee it.
And I am not in law enforcement, I am in construction. But I am also not naive enough to believe that our prisons and jails are full of innocent people.

4wildones,
Please be so kind as to direct me to the book/chapter/verse of the Bible where it says we are to "wear our best to church". I can sing hymns and give praise to the Lord just as well in cargo shorts and tennis shoes as I can in a Versace suit and Mezian shoes.
If you think that just because you wear nice clothes to church you automatically have the respect of others, you are very wrong. Respect is earned through actions not by looks. I seriously doubt that God thinks you are a better Christian than anyone else in your church simply because of the way you are dressed when yousit in the pews. It is a real shame you have that attitude. My Bible talks about not judging others, does yours?

too casual,
Don't you remember, Jesus wore a robe and sandals to church. I think he is a little more concerned with what's in your heart than what's on your back. So you feel a man who wears a $500 suit to church respects God more than a man who wears a T-shirt and jeans? A woman in a $300 dress respects God more than a woman in shorts and a $20 top?
A little judgemental don't you think?

"Guys who drive those big trucks are compensating for something, I think."
Yes, either that or we drive them because an 18' extension ladder, 10 sheets of plywood, eight 5-gallon buckets of paint, and 3 tool boxes won't fit in a Prius.
Did it ever occur to you folks that some people actually use trucks for their intrended purpose? Some of us USE our trucks rather than simply treating them like cars as so many do. This action will drive the cost of truck so high that the average guy will no longer be able to afford to own one.
On What do you think of Obama's mileage and emissions standards?
Bob Lafferty,
There is an old saying that says something about not speaking about those things that you know nothing about. This is one instance where you should not speak. Although the basic theme was to protest excessive taxes, these Tea Parties were held to protest other activities being conducted by the current administration such as second amendment infringement, privacy invasion, promotion of immorality.
The Tea Parties were also held to honor veterans and to let Obama know that the majority of people in this country DO believe in God and do understand that this country was founded on Christian principles. So in the future, please at least take the time to do a little research prior to making yourself look silly. And for the record, more people showed up to our little parties than the left wing media would have you believe....surprise, surprise.

WW,
Why would you expect Democrats to start using facts and truth to support their silly off the wall claims? Their little fairy tales are much more fun to write when filled with lies and made up numbers.

WW,
It is nice when someone proves a point for you isn't it? I always knew that many Obuma voters had no idea what they were voting for but I figured they would at least know who was IN the election!
On It's your call April 7, 2009
bookworm,
Are you serious? Obuma is building a bridge but all it will be used for is attacking the US more easily. And I didn't say everyone who voted for Obuma did it for race/emotional reasons, only that many of the supposed "huge margin" of votes were cast by people who had no idea what they were even voting for.
80's girl,
You mentioned how bad the economy was under Bush but then you go on to tell about how you were successfully able to pay off your house and car in 8 years...kind of contradictory. Perhaps it wasn't really that bad after all?
On It's your call April 7, 2009
teacherlady,
At least 10 million people who voted were uninformed sheep and voted for Obuma without even knowing why. They cast their vote based on either race or emotion. He is making a mockery of the Presidency and of our great country and is causing irreparable harm. Anyone who can think for themself can see this.
Just make sure you hold on tight to your Obuma commemorative plate when the nukes start flying our way. Maybe that will protect you from the radiation.

Teacherlady,
A huge majority???? I think you should look again at the numbers.
