How can you not be happy for Greinke? He is down to earth and plays the game because he enjoys it, not for attention. How refreshing to have an athlete that isn't begging for a bigger spotlight. What a great story for the local sports scene, especially compared to drug suspensions, coach investigations and player releases from a dismal team. He's just about all we have to be proud of locally from our professional teams.
I agree usedtobe, an exceptional role model for young players.

I apologize for not getting back to you right away mm1967. Unfortunately for me I have a life and a job so I can't sit by the computer 24/7 looking for ways to complain about the school district.
To answer your question above, there is no difference in the flu that is in Albany and the flu that is in St. Joe. Hope that makes you feel better. Don't have any idea what that has to do with what I posted last night?
My point, which you validate over and over is that your constant harping about anything you can come up with about the school district absolutley marginalizes your arguments. Nobody wants to sift through your long messages filled with run-on sentences and mispelled words to understand what you are saying. Anyone can look through your posts and understand you are mad at the District and think they do everything wrong. Really ... we get it. Occasionally you have a valid point that is really hard to hear through all of the noise you post on here.
As far as the flu goes, it really doesn't matter what direction the district takes, people will be on here complaining. If they close everyone will be upset about having to stay home and take care of thier children. Give it a rest already.

You would also be more listened to more if you didn't go on and on every time the district or any district for that matter is mentioned. You have some valid points that no one wants to dig through your long diatribes to find.

What do you think they should be doing that they are not doing now?

The bottom line on any disinfection is that it only disinfects the surfaces. As soon as children are back in school they will continue to spread H1N1 if they have it. No one can eliminate the virus including the School District.

Have a source for that?

It Seems like it? Where do you get your information?
Fogging does not cost more than normal disinfection and can be less effective. H1N1 is not an airborne disease. You get it from touching objects that have H1N1 on them. There is no reason to use a fogger for the air. Unless you have some special information other than "It seems like..." maybe you should actually let people that know how to disinfect properly take care of it.
Apparently anyone who disagrees with you is beholden to the almighty dollar? You should really think about a different argument.

Thanks for making my point.
They are following CDC guidelines.
You are assuming the worst because it "seems like" that's what they are going to do.
I didn't say it is ridiculous to want to protect your child, I said it is ridiculous to make claims that are not true.
By the way, there are absolutely no recommendations to "fog" schools.

By the way here is the CDC reccomendation for schools and disinfection:
Routine cleaning:
School staff should routinely clean areas that students and staff touch often with the cleaners they typically use. CDC does not believe any additional disinfection of environmental surfaces beyond the recommended routine cleaning is required.
I suppose the center for disease control doesn't care about your children either?

The School District uses disinfectant everyday. To say they don't use disinfectant is ridiculous. Even if you disinfect every single surface in the school every day, as soon as anyone enters the building germs can re-spread. Disinfection only kills germs that are present on the surface. To think that the District can somehow magically keep all of the children from catching an extremely contagious flu by spending a few extra dollars is beyond ridiculous. If they spent 30 million dollars on it they still couldn't stop it. There has also been several studies that prove closing schools does not help.
mm1967 and ksmith do nothing but sit at their computers waiting for the next Alonzo article so they can start the complaining. I find it hilarious that you complain about apple always defending the district when you would complain about the district no matter what was written.
