heck people need to be willing to pass a bond, read the article (that is 57% in regular election 66% in a special)...additionaly I'm on a septic and make the sewer users pay not me. Plus the raising up of White and Black creeks are in the planning stages and could not meet the timeline.
The last bond was paid off 1997 or so the city needs to sell 70-90 mil in bonds to fix Mansfield Rd, Pickett Rd, Riverside Rd, Kearns Rd, Cook Rd,the bridge down south end and Easton Road. Screw the sewers I have septic.
The last bonds were passed in about 1981 to renovate Missouri Theater and build Civic Arena....

It is no ones fault but officer Garland. He made a mistake or did something intentional and as a result of that action a murderer has gone free. Mr. Scroggins may want to appeal and he likely will his chances of winning something like this are very small. I don't know either of the parties in this matter it is just a shame that the evidence was not preserved so that a trial could take place. As for somebody doing something for someone else I doubt that's the case in my opinion something "stupid" was done by the police department.

well 2 years to see what is needed 2 years for a plan....what about the children four classes will have graduated high school and a 3rd grader will be in middle school....

hertiage a sunset is plain stupid. Why should the city collect a tax a for the promotion of tourism and give some percent of it to the county? Is that legal? Is the county tourism?
If it is not done next spring then it will be August '10 then it will not be able to be collected until Jan'11...heck we will all be dead. The city needs to do a use tax it will raise about 800k to 1mil and an earnings tax one-half percent 1 mil to 1.2 mil get all those that live some place else and work here or work elsewhere and live here.

it's on the ballot in april '10 it makes no difference if it were on in november they can't collect it for a year. i'm voting against it because of the sunset clause. only good thing is the cost of the election will be split with the city in april '10.
they need to put the bond issue back on as well to build the two new grade schools and update the others, perhaps aug or nov '10.

the boars of education have liukely made up their mind. they will listen to the two groups nd put the 63 cent levy on in november with a 5-7 year stupid sunset clause. then in april 2010 or august 2010 put on a bond tax levy getting citizen in put for the next year.

Cop trying to do his job, that is good, an accident happened, that is not good, no one was seriously hurt, that is good. The highway patrol or the police will review tings we will know in a few weeks. Better to get it correct the first time than rush to judgment.

all wasted money a few good things will be built but MODOT used the money to put asphalt on interstates not bulding bridges that will last 30-50- years. when it is time repave them again where will the money come from in seven to nine years ......a total............ farce and waste...............................
