sharpknife, you are correct. There are very few truly practicing Catholics out there. But, the abortion issue is one issue that there is no gray area. There is no amount of rationale that a "Catholic" can conjure up that can allow them to believe that holding a pro-abortion stance is following their Catholic faith. Abortion is considered intrinsically evil. There is no wiggle room. Just because some Catholics choose to ignore their faith and follow the Democratic stance of abortion-on-demand does not mean that the Church should change their stance to accomodate them.

You can't be Catholic and pro-choice/abortion. It goes against everything the Catholic Church stands for and teaches. You can say whatever you want, but simply because Catholics "choose" to ignore their faith and support the most pro-abortion president ever, does not mean it's acceptable to the Church. Catholicism is a theocracy, not a democracy. Either follow the teachings or move on. Just stop trying to make abortion mainstream because you want it. You are supporting a grave sin and are morally culpable for your actions.

Obama and his ilk are not trying to limit abortions. They are trying to make abortions morally acceptable so they can be performed at any point during gestation and for any reason. If abortion does not destroy a human life, how can the Prez state that abortion is, "a heart-wrenching decision for any woman to make, with both moral and spiritual dimensions"? Why should there be a heart-wrenching moral and spiritual dilemma if abortion does not take a life?

If you support abortion as a form of birth control, then you are pro-abortion. It's that simple. Embrace your choice. Don't hide behind semantics. You lose credibility. I support a woman's right to choose... just not the choice of abortion. That makes me anti-abortion. There are still choices, just not the one that destroys an innocent human life causing heart-wrenching and spiritual dilemmas for women to live with for the rest of their lives.

So, is it about the tax hike and not wanting to give more in taxes? I don't understand the negative impact of newer more up-to-date schools being a bad thing. Are people afraid they will never be built and we tax-payers won't get what we ask for? Sorry for my ignorance, I just don't understand the con-argument.

I went to Hall School and am going to be sad if it is torn down. I'm still not sure how I am going to vote on April 7. Can I just vote Libertarian and cover all my bases?

There hasn't been enough anger and vitriol hurled at one another about this. Can we call each other names and curse at each other a little more? Sheesh, I can't wait for April 8 just so people can simmah don nah.

DO not DARE question the Obama or the "comics" will mock you mercilessly. And the unwashed masses will cackle with laughter at their expense.

Yeah, I feel so much better about the state of our country right now.

Of course, Olbermann and Maddow are the funniest comics in the industry today. I always get a good laugh when I watch them. Then I take a shower.

For all the pro-ESC people here, please stop trying to sound like the anti-ESC crowd is uneducated. We know what's happening and we are educated. ESC is an untenable line of medical research. ESC only creates uncontrollable tumors. There is not one medical treatment that has been created from ESC research. On the other hand, adult stem cells are being utilized in medical treatments and are curing people right now. New advances are creating pluripotent adult stem cells that act just like ESC which negates the usefulness of ESC research.

Why research on ESC when ASC works just the same and hold no moral ambiguity? Why is it so important to you to destroy human embryos when there is no need to?
