...and that is the reason that I worked as hard as possible to get out of this backwards, bible banging town....thanks for the reminder....glad my flight leaves bright and early in the morning!

Also LibertyOrDeath....as a rocket scientist you should know that Hydrogen powered rockets are old technology....the Space Shuttle uses Hydrogen and Oxygen in its rocket engines every time that it launches....

LibertyOrDeath....you are obviously a rocket scientist so I concede to your infinite wisdom......maybe you should send me your resume I am looking for a good assistant.
On NASA probes slam into the moon
The goal is to use the moon as a stopping off point to collect water to carry to other points in the solar system during exploration. See my post above on the cost to carry water off the Earth....the gravity on the moon is considerably less than the Earth so the cost would be multitudes smaller.
rk92559, you are partially correct....some of the things were made here on Earth (with money that was given to NASA) but other developments....especially some of the health advances that have been made were the result of experiments in near zero gravity. The craft that crashed into Earth actually was saved, Genesis...I have seen it with my own eyes at Johnson Space Center.....they have sent the solar wind particles out to many scientists around the world to study about the origins of our universe...and we learned a lot from the heatshield that was utilized on Genesis for future exploration. On NASA probes slam into the moon
To all those that are against NASA and the space program and the less than 1% of the federal budget that supports us. I am an employee of NASA in Houston, TX and am amazed everyday by the work that we do to further both our understanding of our own planet and the things that we invent to help all of mankind.
And for those that laugh at us trying to find water on the moon. These are the folks that complain that money is a waste. The main reason that we are looking for water on the moon is the extreme cost to transport water off of our planet to aid in our exploration of the "final frontier". If the NASA budget were much higher and cost was not an option then we could just build bigger more expensive rockets that would use even more expensive fuel to transport the water off the planet. Just the shuttle alone costs around $20,000 per pound to lift off the planet. On Earth the average human uses about 53 gallons per water per day for shower, toilet, cooking, drinking, etc. For space that can be cut down to about 20 gallons per day. So for a crew of 6 to spend 90 days on a trip to Mars this would be about $216 million dollars just to launch the water....so as you can see these are the reasons that NASA is hunting for water on the moon and other planets.
Not to mention the fact that places that have water it is plausible that life had started at one time or another in the history of the universe. Things like this may help to explain where we came from and how we started on Earth.
Now a lot of you had mentioned things that were developed by NASA that are used everyday in our lives. All I can say is where else in the federal government can the American people realize such a substantial return for their investment.
So how much does all of this cost each taxpayer. Well the NASA budget for 2010 is set to be about 0.52% of the federal budget. That means for every $100 that you will spend on federal taxes next year only 52 cents will go to fund NASA's mission.
Interesting chart here that shows how each state's economy is boosted by the money that NASA uses:

I guess I should point out that I would never allow our son to join any group that discriminates or hates. That includes these extremist Christian churches that preach the word of love and then turn around and protest gays etc.
Our son knows that we would love him no matter what path he chooses in life. I would have no problem if he were to bring home his new boyfriend, or Muslim girlfriend, or Christian girlfriend, or even a boyfriend/girlfriend of a different race. We teach him that everyone is equal.
I do not have any issues with those that choose to send there children to scouts, that is their choice. I just feel sorry for those kids that can't have their gay parents or non-believing parents participate with them. Of course since I live in a very large cultural city I see this type of discrimination a lot more than in little St Joe.
So maybe my point is that people should get out visit some large cultural cities and see that a gay family isn't much different than a straight family! You will not get that type of culture in St Joe.

It is great that so many kids are getting involved in extra curricular activities. It is much unfortunate though that the Boy Scouts still have a policy of discrimination. There is no way that I would allow my son to join an organization that is anti-gay, anti-atheists and anti-agnostics. In today's society we need to teach our children that everyone is equal and not instill values of discrimination in them.

Hopefully someday the world will realize that they have suffered through the biggest hoax anyone could imagine....religion.....you finally get old enough to quit believing in Santa Claus.....when will you finally get a hint and quit believing that there is a God...no matter what hoax, I mean religion, you have chosen to follow??
Bobby,
Since you are so in to reading fiction I probably can think of a few other good fiction books for you to examine and see what kind of prophecy you can find in them.
I am sure that gingersnapp's kids are aware of the "scatological" name that was used to represent Senator McCain. The problem is that some of her kids may even use worse names for McCain and Bush....and some of the residents of the city of St Joe!
